Strengthening Family Connections (SFC) embraces a holistic approach utilising a strength’s based framework to support families/individuals, with children/young people (0 - 18 years) on the Capricorn Coast. We recognise that all individuals have their own natural resources, strengths, knowledge, and life experiences to draw from.
SFC services include; Family and individual counselling/support (across a wide range of issues), education, parenting support, information, advice and referrals to other agencies and support services. Individuals/families can self-refer or be referred by other agencies with the individuals/family’s consent.
SFC services are offered to individuals/families who are not currently subject to statutory child protection intervention and at no cost.
Strengthening Family Connections was proudly established by Livingstone Shire Council in partnership with the Livingstone Community Action Group (LCAG), and is funded by the Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women.
