CatholicCare seeks to provide clients with personalised, professional and ethically based family/relationship counselling, mediation, relationship education services and support to families and young people. Supporting families through relationship breakdown, separation and co‑parenting across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland. CatholicCare services an area of approximately 487,456 km2 from the Darling Downs including Toowoomba, Warwick and Dalby, to the South West including Roma, St George, Cunnamulla and Charleville.

CatholicCare delivers professional and ethically based family and relationship services through The Toowoomba Family Relationship Centre supporting families through relationship breakdowns and the separation process.
We provide a wide range of information, advice, and referral services and personalised property management, mediation and dispute resolution services to assist families with managing conflict and developing parenting plans that best support the interests of the children.

Family Law Counselling
Family Law Counselling (FLC) is available to help individuals and families to manage relationship issues
arising from relationship changes, separation and divorce.
Family Law Counselling is confidential and inadmissible in family court matters provided that the service is provided by a Family Law Counselling service designated by the department. Family counselling is provided in line with the requirements of the Family Law Act 1975.
Family Law Counselling services provide counselling and other therapeutic interventions to help clients:
• establish and maintain safe and positive post-separation family relationships
• understand and better meet the care, welfare and development needs of children
• manage transitions across the relationship life/cycle
• increase resilience to relationship stress or breakdown
• with referrals to other community-based organisation and government services.
Family Law Counselling services are available to families of all compositions, including diverse family structures, and significant others such as grandparents and kinship carers who have caring or other relationship responsibilities. Services may be offered to multiple clients (e.g. a family group) or to individuals.

SPARK Program
SPARK (Separated Parents Raising Kids) is an educational group that is designed specifically for separated parents who want the best for their children. The program assists individual parents with communication skills, conflict management, the court system, attachment parenting and blended family structures.
We understand that parents in these circumstances really struggle with communicating with the other parent around the children’s arrangements, how change‑overs can be problematic, and that ‘buttons get pushed’ and things can quickly escalate into highly‑charged arguments.
This program is designed to address these types of issues, in small modules of just 2-hour timeslots. Each module is inter-related with the others, but they are all separate.
FDR/Mediation Services:
Supporting families through relationship breakdown, separation and co‑parenting across the Darling Downs and South West Queensland.
CatholicCare mediation services work to support families develop parenting agreements. 89% of families who complete the process end up with a partial or full Parenting Plan Agreements.
