Youth Mental Health Counselling & Support:

Mental health workers, which may include psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors and other workers, provide counselling & support, information & referral and opportunities for children and young people 12 to 25 years old to talk with someone about their feelings or concerns.

headspace workers offer support for a range of issues including anxiety or depression; stress; relationship problems; questions about sex, gender or attraction; bullying; anger; physical or sexual health; trauma; suicide & self-harm; body image concerns; and/or employment or education.

Support can be provided for children and young people affected by natural disasters such as bushfires, floods, cyclones and drought.

Support is also available for children and young people feeling afraid, worried, anxious and overwhelmed by the constantly changing alerts and media coverage regarding the spread of coronavirus and feeling lonely from being socially isolated due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Health workers and counsellors are sensitive to the needs of Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people and gay males, lesbian & transgender children, adolescents and young adults.

Eligibility:
-Children & young people 12 to 25 years old.
-Adolescents 12 to 16 years old may require parental consent.
-Referred by Self, friend, family, carer, school nurse or counsellor, general medical practitioner or agency.

Monday: 9:00am - 8:00pm, Tuesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Wednesday: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Thursday: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Friday: 9:00am - 5:00pm, Saturday: Closed Sunday: Closed
