Winnam Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islanders Corporation ("Winnam") is an enterprising community organisation that is a holistic service provider for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community in the Wynnum and Bayside suburbs of Brisbane. These are within the boundaries of the Quandamoooka country areas.

Tenancy Support:
Support includes, but are not limited to, referral to services that specialise in:

Bond Loans & Rental Grants
Family Support
Disability Support
Medical and Allied Health Services
Counselling
Drug and Alcohol Support
Financial Budgeting and Assistance
Cultural Supports and Activities

Housing Programs:
Affordable Housing- Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation own a number properties which provide long term, affordable housing to eligible applicants. We maintain our own Wait List for these properties.

These properties are for low to middle income families, couples and singles that are full financial members. Tenants are supported and encouraged to transition into home ownership or private rental market when they have sufficient stability, income and financial management.

Long Term Community Housing Program (Department of Housing) (LTCHP) - The LTCHP program provides nine (9) low-cost, income-based rental accommodation for tenants in very high need who are listed on the state housing register, ie. This program requires applicants to be registered with the Queensland Department of Housing and Public Works.

Income-based rent is calculated using the Queensland Governement's Community Housing Rent Policy.

Emergency / Transitional Housing - Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation manage limited emergency accommodation under the Brisbane City Councils ‘Community Housing Partnership Project”. These part-furnished properties are used to provide short-term tenancies transitioning to secure housing.

Commercial Leases - Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation own and manage six commercial properties at 124 Florence Street, Wynnum. Four (4) of these properties are leased as Commercial Tenancies, providing valuable income to assist with Winnam Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders Corporation not for profit objectives.

Aged Care and Disability Services - The Georgina Davidson Margaret Thompson Hostel (GMDTHD) is a unique service which enables the transition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander elderly/disable and or in need of accommodation to reside in a culturally supportive place.
