NQWLS Cairns is a community based legal service developed and operated by women for women residing in North Queensland.
The service offers assistance in areas of law which primarily affect women including family law, domestic violence and child protection.
Outreach services are provided in some communities outside both Townsville and Cairns. Please contact the service to enquire.

Legal Advice & Telephone Legal Advice:
Provides face-to-face & telephone advice in legal matters for young & adult women including those from culturally & linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander women.
Services include:
Family Law;
Domestic Violence Applications;
Child Protection/Child Safety;
Victim Assist Queensland applications;
Discrimination/Human Rights;
Sexual Assault; and
Migration Law.
Interpreter services are available if required.
Outreach services are also provided.

Eligibility: Young & older women including those from culturally & linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds & Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander women.
