YFS: We know everyone needs secure housing, a decent income and safe relationships. But we also understand the importance of skills, connections and hope.
We achieve these outcomes through integrated services and partnerships. For example, families escaping domestic violence work with our domestic violence counsellors, financial counsellors, housing specialists and employment advisors.
Our evaluations show integrated approaches are cost effective. They break intergenerational cycles of disadvantage and crisis.
We have been doing this work in Logan since 1983. We’re well run, with strong management, skilled staff, firm governance and an established reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality services.
Money Management & Financial Counselling:
Provides information and support for adults, young people over 16 years old, families and groups of consumers who are experiencing debt problems.
Advice on debt management, negotiating with creditors and budgeting is provided.
Information on bankruptcy, credit laws and government assistance is available.
Domestic & Family Violence Perpetrator Program:
Provides casework, support groups and counselling for adults and young people over 16 years old who are experiencing violence in their relationships.
Group support is also available for men with a history of violence in order for them to learn more adaptive behaviours.
ParentsNext:
ParentsNext works with parents to prepare for future employment and gain confidence, skills and knowledge so they are ready to join the workforce when their children start school.
YFS Legal:
Provides legal advice, information and representation for children, young people and adults in the Logan region on family, civil, tenancy and criminal law matters.
A duty lawyer is available at the Beenleigh Children's Court fortnightly.

Youthlink:
Youthlink provides practical support for children and young people 12 to 21 years old.
